Retainers:
After Braces or Invisalign, retainers are necessary to hold the teeth in their new positions. Fixed wires are glued on the inside of the upper and lower anterior teeth. Removable clear retainers are worn at night for the first year and then once a week thereafter. If retainers break or are not worn regularly, teeth can start to shift undesirably. An orthodontic consultation would be needed to assess the shifting and provide treatment options.
