At Picasso Orthodontics we offer orthodontic treatment with no hidden fees! We develop customized payment plans that will fit any budget. Your Orthodontic investment includes your regular scheduled appointments, comfort care visits, permanent and removable retainers, x-rays, and monitoring teeth for 1 year after treatment is done!

AT WHAT AGE SHOULD I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE AN ORTHODONTIST?

An Orthodontic consultation should take place by age seven. Orthodontic problems are easier to correct if detected at an early age, as jaw growth is very important. With early treatment, there are less complications to happen later. Consultation and observation appointments are complimentary.

AM I TOO OLD FOR BRACES?

There is no age limit to make your smile as beautiful as can be!

DO BRACES HURT?

Once your braces are put on, you may feel some discomfort (if any) after 4 hours. This can last between 2 to 7 days. To help with any soreness, eating soft foods for a couple of days and taking Advil or Tylenol can help. The Orthodontic team will give you tips and tricks of what to expect.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL TO SEE AN ORTHODONTIST?

No, a referral is not necessary! Please contact Picasso Orthodontics to book a complimentary consultation appointment.

HOW LONG WILL TREATMENT TAKE?

Treatment time is based on each patient's unique Orthodontic needs. The range for treatment time is about 12 to 24 months.

HOW OFTEN WILL I HAVE APPOINTMENTS?

With braces, appointments are every 2 months. With Invisalign, appointments are every 10-12 weeks.

HOW LONG WILL EACH APPOINTMENT TAKE?

Most appointments are between 10-15 minutes. The consultation appointment is 1 hour. Your first appointment for putting braces on and your last appointment for removing braces are 90 minutes.

HOW MUCH DOES TREATMENT COST?

The cost of treatment depends on the complexity and length of treatment time. After the customized treatment plan is reviewed during your consultation, the fee is presented with flexible payment plan options to make Orthodontics affordable. There is no interest and no hidden fees.

WHAT CAN I EAT?

Specific instructions on what to eat and what not to eat will be provided when your braces are put on. A general rule is to avoid sticky, hard, and chewy foods. There are no dietary restrictions with Invisalign.

DO I NEED TO SEE MY FAMILY DENTIST WHILE IN BRACES?

Yes, routine cleanings and check-ups with your dentist are very important to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Your dentist will advise how often these dental visits should be.

DO I NEED TO BRUSH MY TEETH MORE OFTEN IF I HAVE BRACES?

Yes, oral hygiene is an extremely important part of braces. You should be brushing 3 times a day and 3 minutes per brush. Flossing daily is also necessary. When your braces are put on, the proper techniques for brushing and flossing will be reviewed in detail.

WHAT TO DO IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY?

WILL BRACES INTERFERE WITH PLAYING SPORTS?

Definitely not! With high impact sports, wearing a mouthguard for protection is recommended.

DOES INVISALIGN WORK FOR KIDS?

Yes, Invisalign can work for kids if the adult teeth have grown in and if cooperation is 100% with wearing the aligners.

HOW DO I KEEP MY INVISALIGN ALIGNERS CLEAN?

Brushing aligners with dish soap and a regular soft toothbrush will keep them clean.
